INSTITUTE OF FAMILY LIVING(“IFL”)
ADVANCED COUNSELLING TRAINING PROGRAM
2009 - 2010
Leaders and AAMFT
Approved Supervisors:
Diane Marshall , M.Ed. , RMFT ; Lindsay
Watson , M.A., RMFT
Beginning its 13th year in September, 2009, IFL’s Advanced
Counselling Training Program (“ATP”) will provide an
unusual opportunity for intensive discussion of selected
aspects of advanced marriage and family therapy. For both
medical and non-medical counsellors and clergy, the Program is
eminently suitable for practical and theoretical investigation
of various therapeutic issues that arise in clinical practice and
are dealt with in supervision. The Program also provides AAMFT
supervised hours for those who require them.
Program members at various levels of experience and expertise
are expected to participate as contributors to a “community
of learners.” Case presentations are an integral part of
every session. Medical doctors, marriage and family therapists,
addiction counsellors, social workers and clergy who seek to expand
their repertoire of counselling techniques and modalities will
find the ATP a unique and valuable learning experience.
